On 19th March 2007, Akira Yoshida put on her website the English subtitle version of her great 15 minutes flash movie "HANA NO KAGE", titled "Shadow of the Cherry Blossoms".

It's an original love story around a beautiful cherry tree on the world in the Japanese Middle Ages. The story has such Japanese classical concepts as reincarnation (to be reborn into another person), the Pure Land (the Buddhist paradise after death) and shinju (double suicides of lovers), but sends us an univarsal hearty messeage. "HANA NO KAGE" has won many awards in Japan. I hope and am sure English people enjoy the movie very much, too!

(source: ii access) At the last in Febrary 2007, Hoketsu put a funny music movie on his website Flavono. It's titled "Genghiskhan", which name is the same as Yukihiro Niiyama's song on the movie.

Genghiskhan is Japanese grilled lamb with vegetables, which is popular especially in Hokkaido (see Wikipedia in Japanese). The song "Genghiskhan" dishs up the lyric about Genghiskhan food and the animator Hoketsu made the image corresponding with the words and phrases on the song. Though this is all Japanese, you must enjoy the movie because the music is up-tempo and joyful then the image is also so nice!.

(source: ii access) The later episode of the works I've shown on FlaGama was put on the web. Matsumo's movies of dog houses titled "The World of the Kennel II" are all available. The second part was released.

The big Flash movie project "Ankoku Cat"(Dark Cat) has run smoothly and released the 3rd episode.

"Ankoku Cat and a birthday night"
A man spent all his money and came out of a outlying casino with his head down. It's the birthday of his son today but he's become unable to buy any present for him. After troubled in mind, the man sneaked into a toy store. But the man wasn't awake -- Ankoku Cat was following after him.

Mino Taiki's "The Right Promise with You" was concluded with the 3rd episodes. The part from the view of the girl Umi Isami was put here on the author's site. That of the boy Kiyoshi Toma was uploaded on YouTube by GemaTele. Then I translated this movie on YouTube into English.

I've once shown here the surprising fan-made movies of "Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro". Those were removed from the Flash uploader but I found the opening movie on YouTube. The image of this is much related with the lyric of the song, then I translated the Japanese lyric into English. Even though you've already seen the movie, watch again and appriciate the nice idea of the Flash-creator who managed the image to fit the interesting lyric. You must find his choise of the song also cool!

I'm very happy to introduce those movies. Taiki Mino is now on the work of "The Right Promise with You". He is one of leading Flash animators in Japan and popular with sophisticated Japanese stories. His website Nise Yono Kuyakusho (false Yono ward office) is full of his masterpieces, some of which were adapted for the stage by theatrical circles.

I hesitated to show his works to you because those are too linguistically Japanese. But that time, he works with GemaTele which uploaded the movies of its part on YouTube, so I could subtitle in English a half of his movies. Watch and enjoy. The number of your views may tell something to the author to make English version!

(source: Karzu SP) On 31st January 2007, a dreamy story put on the website of Maxell DVD NAVI's GIGA THEATER, titled "the World of the Kennel II first part". It's the sequel of Matsumo's "the World of the Kennel". Watch them before the second part is released. You may change your view of dogs in kennels.

Whenever looking at the sky, he had thought
"If I could fly that sky, how fun it would be."
So, what happened that night
must be special for him.

(source: anime flash) Shizuoka Digital Contents Awards 2006 gave the grand prix to Amica Kubo and Seita Inoue's "Bloomed Words". It's known by being awarded as Excellent Prize at the Animation Division of 2006 Japan Media Arts Festival. At provincial contests, you will watch some regular attendants winning awards. Daishichi Hashimoto's "The Naked Ape" and Sho(Kakeru?) Yamaguchi's "Around the Clock" are the good examples for it. Both were awarded at the 5th Creative Festa in Yokohama, where you can find another regular attendant, Yuusuke Koyanagi's "PIECE".

SKI JUMPING PAIRS series, directed by Riichiro Mashima, has recorded a half million sales, releasing mainly 3 DVDs. shockwave.com put up 5 jumps from the 2nd DVD released in 2004, containing those of France, China, U.S.A, Netherlands and Japan. (source: GilCrows Image Technique Research) "Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro"(or "Private Evil Eye Nougami Neuro"), run in Weekly Shonen Jump and said to be a simple entertainment manga clothed in detective story by the author Yuusei Matsui, has never been made into animation officially. But on "the thread of making Flash movies of Neuro" in FLASH BOARD@2ch, "Neuro"'s opening movie and ending movie were posted. Though privately produced by the fans of "Neuro", they have a strong weird appeal as if "Neuro" was already aired on TV.
